Buying an island is not an easy task as one might imagine. There is lots of paperwork, permits, legal documents, research, debating and multiple meetings with government officials of all levels, real state agents and finally negotiations. Luckily, the Crypto Island team is ahead of the curve with hard work and determination. Now, the only thing that separates us from having this dream become a reality is $35 million dollars, then we can pack our suitcases and travel to the Bahamas!
The Crypto Island DAO is effectively a platform to raise funds to purchase the desired island of Little Whale Cay, we will be attempting this by selling $PALMTREE tokens through Juicebox. With your voting right you can vote about the use of funds using Snapshot.org . The ratio is calculated in Ethereum and 1 ETH equals 1 million $PALMTREE tokens which will be available as long as the crowdfunding on Juicebox.money is active. There is no minimum contribution required to invest in the DAO, however, a contribution of 0.05 ETH will provide you the PINK Membership Limited Edition NFT. We have the possibility to whitelist a wallet, this will officially register you as a “non-voting” owner of this Bahamian trust fund. Since we integrate the DAO directly to the funds that are collected, you have a voting right about the funds captured by this DAO.
We found a legal structure that allows us to 'decentralize' an island as much as possible.
By becoming a co-owner of Crypto Island you will become a non-voting beneficial co-owner and have a non fractional ownership in the trust fund that will holds the island after its bought. This type of ownership will give you visiting rights to the island based on time-sharing and a voting right in the overall development of the island. You can learn, work, visit and grow on the island. The first island will function as a hub. We aim to buy multiple islands in the near future to guarantee more time-sharing availability.
Back in April 2021, a group of 4 Dutch crypto enthusiasts came together with the objective to build a community which accepts the crypto space and decentralisation as a new way of living. After much research and development, Crypto Island was created with a goal to buy a private island and implement a new way of living.
The Bahamas, a crypto friendly country, was chosen as the perfect place to incorporate the company and continue the project to buy the first ever, decentralised private island.
Your contribution to the crowdfunding will be used to purchase the island. It is possible that a small percentage will be used to cover the marketing and legal costs that has a direct relation to the purchase of the island. This will only be done if necessary.
We are using a Gnosis Safe wallet that has 8 signers (pre-launch). The signers have been selected from our core contributors and trusted members.
The $palmtree token is a governance token that solely gives you voting rights in regards to the use case of the funds collected through the crowdfunding. It's not a currency and can't be traded.
The $CISLA token is our own currency that will be used on the island. All of our (future) partnerships and clients on the island can accept this token as a payment method
With your contribution you will automatically receive $PALMTREE tokens in return. These will give you voting rights in regards to which island will be bought from the collected funds through this crowdfunding. If you contribute 0.05 ETH or more you will receive one of the six limited edition Membership NFT's, each with its own benefits. When the island is bought you will receive instructions on how to register your wallet as a 'Non-voting Beneficiary' of the trust fund that holds ownership of the island. Your contribution makes you part of a unique piece of history in the world of crypto.
Furthermore there is no expectation of profit with $PALMTREE. It is a governance token. You are not receiving fractionalized ownership of the DAO's assets in exchange for the token.

The publicly known team of Crypto Island together with the board members stated in the DAO report will have an authority to sign for a transaction. For now there are 8 signers. 5 out of 8 signatures are needed to execute a transaction. In the DAO report you can find the names of the appointed signers.
To move the funds a minimum of 62,5% (5 out of 8) of the signers will need to agree.
The moving of funds will only be done when the DAO authorize a transaction after voting.
The price of the island we are planning to buy is set at 35 million dollars, however if we raise more than this amount, we have already set aside two other options of islands with our real estate agency MCR Real Estate which are priced above 35 million, but before going for these options the decision will be made by the members of the DAO by vote.
The tokens are necessary to vote on which island will be purchased with the collected funds through Snapshot.org.
All of the participants of our project will transition into a global DAO governance system that will decide about all the subjects of this project including but not limited to: Board members, finance, incorporations and partnerships.
Snapshot.org is the most trusted voting system among big projects. The system is user friendly, just connect, vote on your decision and done.
The ratio of tokens you receive for 1 ETH is 1M $PALMTREE Tokens.
The first level membership nft is called the Pink Membership NFT, which you can get airdropped by contributing 0.05 eth.
We have in total 6 different NFT’s. All the benefits are accumulative. For example: The Platinum membership NFT will also include all the benefits of the lower leveled NFT’s and so on so forth.
Our project will consist of two major costs. First you have the purchase of the island and then the continuous development/maintenance of the island. This crowdfunding will be used to purchase the island together with you. Our currency $CISLA will cover the costs for development and maintenance of the island. Thanks to the implemented tax on each transaction we can make sure that a lot of these costs are covered by te use of our own currency. At this moment 15% of all tokens are allocated for these costs.
